Magick is the art and Metaphysical Science of manifesting personal desire through the collection and direction of energy. Fireworks, bonfires, fireplaces, and candles have much in common; the illumination from each spurs a uniquely personal human response. Our conscious and subconscious mind can be transported to a time, place or person which represents; Romance, nostalgia, childhood memories, warmth, comfort, intrigue, and awe, to name a few.
Magick is the art of Metaphysical Science.
Candles can be found in a wide assortment of sizes, shapes, and colors, including; pillar, taper, votive, image, dipped, scented, chime, unscented, herbal, tealight, and jar. Since the discovery of fire, candles have been carefully and expertly crafted from natural substances, such as; tallow, soy, bees wax, and paraffin, which can also be used for sealing foods.
Fire is the strongest and most powerful of the four elements. Ancient practitioners discovered that they could harness its immense energy, thereby enabling them to mentally and/or visually direct it into the Universe to manifest, or bring to fruition, their hopes, dreams, wishes, prayers, goals, affirmations, desires and purposes.
For the sake of clarity, there are two spellings and definitions for the same word: Magick is the art and Metaphysical Science of manifesting personal desire through the collection and direction of energy. The letter “k” was added to the word magic to distinguish it from the sleight-of-hand stage presentation.
There are five components of successful Magick: Personal Will, Timing, Imagery, Direction and Balance. A practitioner may choose his/her method of preference, but, priority for success lies on the adherence to the five components, which are incorporated within the equation: Intense Desire + Genuine Emotion = The End Result (success).
I have been practicing and teaching magick for many years. I tell my students that if they remember nothing else, remember this: NEVER BLOW OUT a CANDLE, SNUFF it OUT! Blowing out a candle scatters energy! As an example: A birthday cake, candles, and song are absolutely perfect… but, everything, including the wish, is blown away at the end!
A word of sincere caution: Be careful what you wish for, you may get it! I will be discussing spells, charms and incantations in another post.
