Samhain Cosmic Chronicle – Oct 2018

Here is your October coping exercise, “BREATH DEEPLY… that’s right, now, relax.” You may want to do this exercise several times each day to cope with the impending anxiety, frustration, disappointment, and exasperation that the October, 2018 cosmic energy is planning to blast us with. I don’t know about you, but I’m not a super fan of emotional or financial roller coaster rides!

For those of you who have packed away and avoided issues relating to finances, relationships, lust, infatuation, sex and love until a “better time to deal with them,” October is calling your hand. Yes, the Goddess of love, Venus, goes retrograde, in Scorpio, on October 6th – November 16th. Venus retrograde in Scorpion forces all of the skeletons in your closet to suddenly fall out and land in a heap on the floor. And with this, all of the deeply hidden truths and haunting secrets will be exposed. There will be no going back, and no hail Mary’s. The only thing you can do is to throw the rose colored glasses on a pile, and face the music; willingly or kicking and screaming! This is Venus retrograde in Scorpio!

The New Moon, in air sign Libra, is on October 9th. With relationships and finances being the prime focus this month, this New Moon will begin to balance the initial shock, and help us to learn the Universal lessons that we have desperately needed to learn. The greatest lesson is to avoid, at all costs, a repeat of what you’re going through now!

The sun enters water sign, Scorpio, on October 23rd. Unfortunately, Venus retrograde in Scorpio, rules the Full Moon in Taurus on October 24th! Oh yes, if there is anything relating to your financial resources that you were sure would NEVER rear its ugly head and effect your material realm again – it will now! Anything that’s financially sinister, dark or deceiving will come into the light, and there will not be a thing that you can do to stop it. You will ask, “When do the Universal lessons stop?” The short answer is, “They don’t.”

As we move closer to the end of October, it will be time to heave a huge sigh of relief! The intense house cleaning that we just went through will open doors for greater opportunity, and a new beginning. Whew!

Samhain and Halloween are celebrated on October 31st. Samhain, is a pagan holiday that mean’s “Summer’s End.” Traditionally, the ancients celebrated Samhain on the third and final harvest of the season. They also believed that the veil between the spirit and mortal worlds was the thinnest on Samhain, which facilitated easier spirit contact and communication. Halloween (All Hallow’s Eve) has evolved into a time for fantasy, fun, fright, and things that go bump in the night. Followed by All Saint’s Day, on November 1st. It is a Catholic holiday honoring all of the saints, especially those souls who do not have their own special feast day in which to remember them.

Hopefully November has a much brighter cosmic forecast! We are going to get an extra hour of sleep on November 4th when Daylight Savings Time ends. And, Thanksgiving is on November 22nd. Where has the year gone?

If you have any comments, questions or concerns, please contact me. See you next month!
