Believe or Not to Believe?
Skeptical Road is a long and lonely stretch of highway for those who are fearful of that which they don’t understand. Personally, as skeptics go, I am at the top of the skeptic-o-meter list. But, I have always had an eclectic open mind; therefore opening many educational doors, and in the process, presenting many extraordinary experiences to me.
Skeptical Road is a long and lonely stretch of highway for those who are fearful of that which they don’t understand.
Whether one believes or recognizes those things that cannot be seen, logically explained, or, rationally put into acceptable perspective, really doesn’t matter. Our belief systems and core values are taught and impressed on us throughout our entire childhood. Unfortunately, as adults, we can often find ourselves faced with moral, ethical, ethnic, demographic, environmental, and religious conflicts.
Ironically, it truly does not matter if we can, or will, allow ourselves to believe in the supernatural, paranormal or the spiritual realm. The Universe fully equips each newborn with spirit guides, intuitive abilities, and extra-sensory perception which will grow and develop, in time. Unexpected and unexplained phenomena has or will happen to everyone. Can you recall what it felt like when you suddenly stopped, scratched your head, and said, “Did you see that?” “Did you feel that?” “What just happened?” Those questions are not abnormal; they are asked all of the time. And yet, we dismiss the unexplained as hallucinations or coincidences. There are no coincidences, everything happens for a reason. At that unnerving moment, the Universe was trying to get your attention, and it did!
Skepticism can be healthy, because it exists within our safety, security and comfort zones. However, one should endeavor to keep an open mind and accept the fact that in our lifetime we can expect the unexpected. Skeptical Road is an empty, lonely stretch of highway. It does not provide an opportunity to stop along the way for any form of personal or spiritual growth.
The unknown has drawn many fraudulent Charlatans into the Metaphysical field who have managed to heighten mankind’s level of negative skepticism. In the same respect, these individuals are accruing a heavy load of karmic debt and negative baggage for themselves! With that said, I would like to suggest that mankind try to lighten-up and remember:
We are not human beings having a spiritual experience.
We are spiritual beings having a human experience.
